Legal Foundations
You can read a legal system, place a matter inside it, and explain where a law firm's money comes from. The ground everything else stands on.
Kapitoly 1 až 12 · 12 KvízyStart chapter 1Právní základy
How does law actually work, before any of the AI?
- 1A Short History of Justice10 minKvízFrom Hammurabi to AI agents - 4,000 years of legal evolution as one continuous protocol upgrade. The arc you need before any doctrine.
- 2The Origin of Law12 minKvízLaw exists because humans can't live together at scale without shared constraints. Don't mix up origin of law (why it exists) with sources of law (where rules come from).
- 3How Legal Systems Actually Work15 minKvízLegal systems have hierarchies of norms, courts, and defined procedures. Understanding competence, venue, and jurisdiction is essential.
- 4Legal Ecosystems Explained14 minKvízLegal ecosystems include legislators, courts, lawyers, regulators, and clients. Each plays a role in how law is created and applied.
- 5Core Areas of Law (Non-Negotiable Basics)18 minKvízConstitutional, civil, criminal, commercial, and administrative law form the foundation. You need to know these regardless of specialization.
- 6Thinking Like a Lawyer16 minKvízLegal thinking is structured: issue-spotting, rule application, analysis, and conclusion. It's a skill that can be learned.
- 7In-House Legal Basics14 minKvízIn-house counsel balance business objectives with legal risk. They're strategic partners, not just compliance officers.
- 8Law Firm Reality Check13 minKvízLaw firms are businesses. Understanding billing, partnership tracks, and client relationships is essential for practice.
Byznys v právu
Who pays for legal work, and what is changing about that?
- 9The Death of the Billable Hour10 minKvízFirms billed by the hour because lawyer-time was the scarce resource. AI makes execution nearly free, so time stops being the product and the outcome takes its place. Pricing moves to value, assets, and yield - and emerging markets were already there.
- 10Documents Are the Product15 minKvízLegal work produces documents: contracts, memos, briefs, opinions. Quality document drafting is the core deliverable.
- 11Legal Risk & Strategy14 minKvízLegal risk is business risk. Strategy involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks before they become problems.
- 12Being a Lawyer in the Age of AI12 minKvízAI changes legal work but doesn't replace lawyers. Judgment, relationships, and strategy remain human domains.

Legal AI Practitioner
You can prompt for legal work properly, build the context a matter needs, judge an answer you did not write, and keep privilege intact while doing it.
Kapitoly 13 až 21 · 9 KvízyStart chapter 13Práce s AI
How do I get useful work out of it?
- 13Legal AI Fundamentals16 minKvízInteractiveLegal AI must work within constraints: jurisdiction, sources, accountability. It's not generic AI with a law filter.
- 14Correctness Over Confidence: The 'I Don't Know' Test11 minKvízInteractiveIn law, a beautifully wrong answer is worse than no answer. Fluency can hide fake law. The legal AI you can trust is the one that can say three words most systems can't: 'I don't know.' Judge tools on correctness, not confidence.
- 15Prompting for Legal Work (Properly)18 minKvízGood prompts specify jurisdiction, context, desired format, and constraints. Generic prompts produce generic (dangerous) outputs.
- 16Context Engineering for Lawyers12 minKvízInteractivePrompting is the surface. Context engineering is the system. The five layers of legal context that turn generic legal AI into a Legal AI Twin.
- 17Legal AI in Practice15 minKvízInteractiveLegal AI accelerates research, drafting, and review. It's a tool that amplifies lawyer capability, not a replacement.
- 18Working with Your Legal AI Twin (HAQQ Way)14 minKvízHAQQ AI is designed as a legal AI twin: it reasons like a lawyer, adapts to jurisdiction, and flags uncertainty.
Důvěra, mlčenlivost a etika
Can I trust it, and am I allowed to use it?
- 19The Data Myth: What Actually Makes Your Firm Defensible12 minKvízMost firms have no proprietary data. Truly private legal data is the rare AAA kind locked behind settlements and NDAs. And even that derives its value from the public law beneath it. The real moat is not the documents - it's the process encoded into a system that compounds.
- 20Privilege & Confidentiality with AI11 minKvízConversations with general-purpose AI are not privileged. They can be subpoenaed, retained, and produced in discovery. Know what you're giving away.
- 21Ethics, Responsibility & AI13 minKvízAI use doesn't reduce professional responsibility. Lawyers remain accountable for AI-assisted work product.

Legal AI Strategist
You can take apart a legal AI vendor's pitch, tell a benchmark from a brochure, decide what to delegate to an agent, and prove in numbers whether any of it paid.
Kapitoly 22 až 33 · 12 KvízyStart chapter 22Výběr a sestavení technologického zázemí
How do I choose a tool and prove it is any good?
- 22The Legal AI Vendor Landscape12 minKvízEight archetypes are fighting for the same lawyer's attention: elites, incumbents, nichers, foundation models, agentic builders, OS plays, benchmarkers, and PM veterans.
- 23Convergence: Digitization Meets AI10 minKvízOther industries digitized first, then layered AI. Legal is doing both at once - on the same desk. Why the stack feels chaotic and how OS plays win.
- 24Law Firm 3.0: The Legal Operating System13 minKvízThe industry does not need another legal AI tool. It needs a legal operating system - one that synthesizes digitization, workflow, and intelligence. Context is the number one differentiator between two lawyers using the same models. Your fingerprint is the moat.
- 25How to Evaluate a Legal AI Vendor (Red Flags)14 minKvízA structured red-flag inventory across four risk surfaces: security, legal/compliance, model/output, and commercial. Walk every vendor through these.
- 26Practitioner-Led Benchmarks9 minKvízVendor-funded benchmarks are marketing. Practitioner-led scorecards are evidence. Meet the new gate between vendors and buy-side counsel.
Co přijde dál
What does this mean for my career?
- 27The Future of Legal Work11 minKvízLegal work evolves but core skills remain valuable. Adaptability and continuous learning are essential.
- 28AI and Access to Justice: The 8-Billion Mandate11 minKvízThe same way Google democratized information, AI democratizes access to justice. Of 8 billion people, 5 billion have no real access; there are only about 20 million lawyers. AI pumps supply into a supply-starved market - consolidating the top, dispersing the bottom, and hollowing out the middle.
- 29Legal & AI Definitions (Glossary)10 minKvízA reference glossary of key legal and AI terms used throughout the course.
- 30After You Buy: Rolling AI Into a Firm Without Breaking Privilege12 minKvízEvery chapter before this one teaches a lawyer to use AI. This one teaches a firm to deploy it: two duties most firms conflate, four policies signed before seat one, redaction before prompting, a verification gate before filing, and a pilot you can measure. Buying the tool was the easy part.
Delegation and proof
Can I hand work over - and show that it paid?
- 31Asking a Question vs Delegating a Task13 minKvízInteractiveSame model, different harness. A chat answers and waits; an agent is given tools and permission to keep going. Delegation moves the steps, not the duty - and a 95%-reliable step is not good enough twenty times in a row.
- 32Skills, MCP and Plugins: Making a Method Reusable11 minKvízInteractivePrompting by hand does not survive the tab you did it in. A skill is your method written down, a connector is reach into a system you already use, a plugin is both shipped together. The three are not synonyms, and a buyer who can separate them negotiates better.
- 33Does AI Actually Save You Time?12 minKvízYes for some tasks, by much less than the vendor numbers suggest, and the saved time rarely becomes free time. The verification-value paradox, why the hours do not show up, and the four-step test to run before you believe any number - including ours.
All three tracks are still one course
Pass every test across all 33 chapters - 33 tests in total - and you have completed the whole HAQQ Legal AI course. That is the certificate that already exists, unchanged by the three tracks above it.
See the certificateHow it works
Read a chapter
Any order within a track. No signup screen between you and the text.
Pass its test
Every chapter ends in one. A track's test count is printed on its card above.
Claim it
Once every test in a track - or all of them, for the full certificate - is passed, the badge unlocks on your certificate page.
Progress is remembered in your own browser only - it does not follow you to another device, and clearing site data clears it. Every credential here is self-certified: nobody at HAQQ verifies that you did the work. That is a trade we make on purpose so the whole program stays free and open with no account - see it said the same way on the certificate itself.
How to read this course
Read in order, or do not
Every chapter is its own page and stands on its own. The parts are grouped by the question they answer, so you can start at the one that is bothering you today.
The labs are yours to break
Where a chapter carries an Interactive badge, there is something to drag, toggle or step through. Change the inputs and watch the conclusion move. That is the point of them.
Illustrative numbers say so
Every lab states underneath whether its figures are modelled to teach or measured from something real. If it does not say measured, assume it is not.
Claims carry a source and a date
Factual assertions link out to where they came from, with the month. This field moves fast, so check the date before you quote a figure, ours included.
Free, and the certificate is real
No account, no email gate, no credits. The quizzes feed three certification tracks, and the number of tests behind each one is printed on its card.
