02 · Machine-readable law

How much law an AI can actually read

Across the 12 MENA jurisdictions in our Legal Guides, Legal Data Hunter indexes 77 official sources in total. The United States alone has 428. A legal AI is only as good as the law it can retrieve, and in MENA the retrievable share is thin.

Skills turn a general model into a legal one: a packaged instruction set for one task, from a chronology to a GDPR audit. We track 422; 357 of them are free, and they come from three places. Compliance and Contract lead the topics.

In research

Three views need usage data we will only publish with a primary source behind every number, so they are not drawn yet: legal AI usage by country and by job, in the spirit of the Anthropic Economic Index; the clauses AI picks most often; and the documents generated most often.
