iManage puts a Context Fabric under its October platform

iManage will ship its next-generation platform in October, built on what it calls a Context Fabric: a governed layer that enriches stored documents with the facts a model needs to place them, including jurisdiction, area of law and the parties involved, and links them to the practice management system. The detail that matters for outside counsel guidelines is that AI can be switched off for a named client or a single matter rather than firm-wide. iManage also opened its content to Thomson Reuters CoCounsel over an open protocol, so documents can be reached from a research tool without a bespoke integration.
