Oman: where to read the law

Omani legislation is promulgated by Royal Decree and published in the Official Gazette, which the Qanoon portal carries. The Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs site is the more reliably reachable of the two from outside the country and covers the ministry's own remit. Primary material is Arabic; English translations are unofficial and mostly produced by law firms, which is worth knowing before relying on one.

This is a directory, not a summary of the law. Nothing here tells you what a rule says - it tells you where the authoritative text lives so you can read it yourself. Links last checked .

1 of these sources did not answer an automated check. They are canonical and they open in a normal browser - the note on each says which case it is.
