Harvey raises $550M, buys AI-safety startup Guardrails

Harvey has raised $550m at a $15.5bn valuation, in a round co-led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Diffusion, and paired the announcement with its fourth acquisition of the year: Guardrails AI, a San Francisco team whose open-source tooling monitors what an AI agent actually does and flags drift from what it was told to do. Guardrails' two co-founders and their team join Harvey's product and engineering group, and their framework, downloaded more than 250,000 times a month, becomes part of how Harvey checks its own agents before they touch a matter.
